‘It’s time to wake up’: J.J. Abrams on his new movie ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

A new sci-fi film from J. J. Abrams is making headlines in the US, and the director has opened up about the making of it.

“I’m not even allowed to tell you what I was thinking about it,” he told EW on the red carpet of the Toronto International Film Festival.

“But the film is so awesome, I thought I’d share it.”

The sci-tech thriller stars John Boyega as Han Solo, and Mark Hamill as Chewbacca.

Abrams and his production team have been making a series of videos about their upcoming project since it was announced at the Toronto Film Festival last September.

“There’s a really cool trailer that they put out that has really cool stuff, but I don’t know what’s going on,” Abrams said of the trailer, which was released during the Toronto premiere.

“And I thought, ‘Oh my god, it’s the trailer!’

“It’s not that I’m going to spoil anything, but there are definitely a few things that I was curious about,” he said. “

“We had an idea about the backstory of Luke and Leia, and we had an interesting idea about how they would have been able to get to the moon, and how they got there. “

And we had a really, really interesting idea for how the moon would have looked, and that’s something that I wasn’t sure about.”

Abrams also said that his focus was to tell the story of the Skywalker family, but he wasn’t too worried about getting too close to the “dark side” of Star Wars.

“The idea of Star War is very powerful, and it’s really, very, very dark, and there are some things that are just not appropriate in the world we live in,” he explained.

“If you look at the movies that have come out in the last year or so, they’re all dark.

The actor has had to fight for his Star Wars project on several occasions, including at one point, he had to cancel the production of “Star Wars”: Episode IV A New Hope after being told by Disney that they could not include any scenes featuring the characters, such as Luke and Chewbac. “

For us, it was important to do it the right way, so we wanted to tell a story that we would think would be respectful of the Star Wars legacy and what the movies were about, and if we were doing it in a way that didn’t make it too dark.”

“A couple years ago, they were just saying, ‘We’re not going to include any of your movies,’ and I just thought, this is a crazy place to be,” he admitted.

“So I said, ‘Okay, well, you know, I’m not going, and you know what, you guys can go ahead and do whatever you want to do.’

It’s just that the story is so compelling, and people are waiting for that,” he added. “

Even when they said, you’re not allowed to talk about it, I just said, well I don.

It’s just that the story is so compelling, and people are waiting for that,” he added.

“They said, oh we don’t want to hear about it because they know it’s not going in the movie.

I said ‘Well you know how the rest of the world is going to react to that?

“The only reason why I would get involved is if I think we can bring something that’s just really great, and then we can tell the new story, and have some fun with it,” Abrams joked. “Or I don´t get involved at all, and maybe there are other opportunities for us.””

The director was also open to the possibility of a “Rogue One” sequel, but said that he was still hesitant about getting involved in a franchise that had gone through such a dramatic transformation since “Rogue.
